Of the many different types and styles of motorcycle we have grouped them into the four main categories that you are allowed to ride in the UK and Europe. Other parts of the world will be very similar, but may well be called by different names.
Mopeds can be ridden at 16 years of age. Lightweight bikes (125cc) at 17 years of age. Standard bikes Max (47Bhp) 19 years of age and Large bikes at 24.
